Frequently Asked Questions

  • Before the first appointment, you will be asked to complete some paperwork.

The first one or two sessions are normally spent getting to know one another a bit where I guide you through some helpful background questions about your life so far. I want you to feel in control of our pace so you are encouraged to share what feels comfortable to you.

  • I generally find clients get the most out of therapy when they are open, honest, and willing to explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. It’s also important to be patient with your progress, as lasting change generally doesn’t occur overnight. Also, a lot of the work happens outside of the therapy room as you implement the insights you can in therapy.
